MT88S 2D Imager is built with a mega-pixel CMOS sensor, electric interface highly compatible with existing 2D imagers of global leaders, and high-speed shutter delivering extraordinary motion tolerance on all barcodes. Adopting Google Native Framework, MT88S 2D Imager is future-proof with its Barcode Service SDK requiring no modification for future Android OS update. As a result, implementing MT88S 2D Imager not only reduces total cost of ownership, but greatly increases throughput and productivity in virtually any application.

Google Native Framework
The future-proof MT88S 2D Imager adopts Google Native Framework, making it compatible with Android 8.x, 9.x, 10.x and later version. With Marson Barcode Service SDK requiring NO modification for future Android update, the development cost and time needed for product integration and maintenance are greatly reduced.

Utilizing existing MIPI interface
Capable of managing the combined operation of its CMOS sensor, illumination system and LED aiming, MT88S 2D Imager can be connected to the host via MIPI interface (I2C bus), supported by nowadays PDAs in the market, which means integration of MT88S 2D Imager does not need any hardware change or PCB re-layout in most cases.
Supports Android Barcode Service SDK, SDL and API
MT88S 2D Imager also comes with Marson Barcode Service SDK that includes sensor driver, software decoding library of all major 1D, 2D symbologies, Postal Codes in the market and software API required for configuring imager illumination, aiming, symbologies settings and data format, thus saving customer the trouble of developing software application from scratch.

Electric and Mechanical Compatibility
Having a low profile form factor at the size of W22.1 x L10.6 x H8 mm and weight of only 1.6 gram, MT88S 2D Imager can be integrated into the most space-constrained products. The capability of being mounted from top or bottom, along with electric interface and pin assignment highly compatible with existing 2D imagers of global leaders, provides unparalleled flexibility of product design.

Outstanding Performance from Near to Far
With scanning distance up to 40cm, high-speed shutter, megapixel sensor, and scan rate of 60 frames per second, MT88S 2D Imager provides outstanding performance for portable devices in logistics and warehouse applications where barcodes are likely to be scanned from a long distance. The built-in red dot aimer, enhanced by picklist mode, also helps user better aim at the barcode.

Mobile-Friendly Scanning
MT88S, with enhanced optical design and latest decode algorithm, virtually scans all 1D and 2D barcodes on any surface, either paper-based label or mobile phone display. With MT88S long range 2D scan engine integrated into mobile device, users may expand their business into many new applications such as eCoupon, eTicket, Digital ID cards and mobile payments.
