MT85HD+MTD20 scan engine is designed to deliver high density 2D barcode scanning solution. MT85HD consists of a mini imager and a decoder board that can be easily integrated into host system. With the ability to scan 3Mil 1D barcodes and 4Mil 2D barcodes, MT85HD is an ideal choice for high density barcode scanning applications.

High Density Imaging Technology
Built with a high resolution lens and a mega-pixel image sensor, MT85HD+MTD20 2D scan engine can read high density barcodes at close range. With advanced decoding algorithm MT85HD+MTD20 lets users scan tiny 3Mil 1D barcodes and 4Mil 2D barcodes from the labels of test tubes and electronic components at a faster speed.

Compact Decoder Board
MTD20, the decoder board of MT85HD, is designed to be so compact (W25 x L25 x H2mm) that can be easily integrated into host system. As a result, adopting MT85HD+MTD20 2D scan engine helps users increase maximum flexibility for product design and reduce development effort.

Mobile-Friendly Scanning
MT85HD+MTD20, with enhanced optical design and latest decode algorithm, virtually scans all 1D barcodes and most 2D barcodes on any surface such as paper-based label and mobile phone display. With MT85HD+MTD20 integrated into mobile device, users may expand their business into many new applications such as eCoupon, eTicket, Digital ID cards and mobile payments.

Easy and Flexible Operations
MT85HD+MTD20 2D scan engine enhances design flexibility by offering various output interfaces with USB HID, USB VCP and UART and enabling users to easily configure the reading modes and settings according to preference. The flash memory of MT85HD+MTD20 serves as a flexible and upgradeable provision for additional requirements or performance enhancement and extends the product's life cycle as well.

Ambient Light Immunity
MT85HD+MTD20 automatically adjusts its parameters for optimal scanning performance which provides the freedom to scan barcodes from under complete darkness to direct sunlight. As a result, MT85HD+MTD20 2D scan engine is ideal for both indoors and outdoors scanning applications which require more immunity for ambient light.

Bi-directional Communication
A set of commands are supported to enable the host device to configure all the functions of MT85HD+MTD20 thereby fulfilling dynamic configurations demand. To help users grasp and understand the bi-directional communication more quickly, the Windows®-based Ez Utlity® configuration utility is provided as a user-friendly platform where testing MT85HD can be done easily.
