Flexible 2D Scanning Solution
MT80+MTD20 scanner engine is designed to achieve flexible and affordable OEM 2D barcode scanning solution. MT80+MTD20 consists of a mini imager and a decoder that can be customized and fully integrated into the main board of host system based on customer’s requirements. With flexible integration MT80+MTD20 is ideal for any 2D barcode scanning application where space is limited and cost is a key concern.

Miniaturized Low-Profile Imager
MT80+MTD20 2D scan engine has a low profile imager which is the smallest in its class. With extremely small size of W14 x L10 x H7 mm and the weight of only 1 gram, MT80 imager can be integrated into the most space-constrained product and is also capable of being mounted from top or bottom, thus providing unparalleled flexibility for product design.

Flexible Decoder Board Design
The decoder board of MT80+MTD20 2D scan engine is highly customizable based on customer’s demand. It can be re-designed into any shape that fits the smallest space of host system. As a result adopting MT80+MTD20 helps increasing maximum flexibility for product design and reducing development effort.

Mobile-Friendly Scanning
MT80+MTD20, with enhanced optical design and latest decode algorithm, virtually scans all 1D barcodes and major 2D barcodes on any surface, either paper-based label or mobile phone display. With MT80+MTD20 2D scan engine integrated into mobile device, users may expand their business into many new applications such as eCoupon, eTicket, Digital ID cards and mobile payments.

Easy and Flexible Operations
MT80+MTD20 2D scan engine enhances design flexibility by offering various output interfaces with USB HID, USB VCP and UART and enabling the user to easily configure the reading modes and scanner settings according to preference. The flash memory of MT80+MTD20 serves as a flexible and upgradeable provision for additional requirements or performance enhancement and extends the product's lifecycle as well.

Ambient Light Immunity
MT80+MTD20 automatically adjusts its parameters for optimal scanning performance which provides the freedom to scan barcodes from under complete darkness to direct sunlight. As a result MT80+MTD20 2D scan engine is ideal for both indoors and outdoors scanning applications which require more immunity for ambient light.

Bi-directional Communication
A set of commands is supported to enable the host device to configure all the functions of MT80+MTD20 2D scan engine thereby fulfilling dynamic configurations demand. To help user grasp and understand the bi-directional communication more quickly, the Windows®-based BEO® configuration utility is provided as a user-friendly platform where testing MT80+MTD20 can be done in a much easier way.
